Lovers of Japanese food would have enjoyed food names with the term ‘yaki’ in it. But what is yaki sushi and how does it differ from regular sushi?
Yaki means ‘cooked over direct heat’, and includes cooking methods like grilling, pan-frying, or boiling. When you’re dining at a Japanese restaurant, you’ll come across dishes described as ‘yaki’ such as teriyaki, takoyaki, and dorayaki. (more…)
