On February 20th, 2019, Puri Pangan Utama had the privilege of supporting the Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) through an exciting educational-cooking demo at Hotel International School in Gianyar, Bali.
The day started with a welcome speech by the Head of School Mr. Budi Paramatha followed by Chef Hendra Mahena for introduction to ICA and Kikkoman products. The talented Chief, Chef Hendra Mahena, then proceeded to show how to create delicious dishes using Kikkoman, which included Salmon Teriyaki and Tuna Fried Rice.
In addition to sharing the recipes, Chef Hendra Mahena also addressed any questions that students might have through an interactive Q & A session. He hopes to inspire these students to create delicious and innovative dishes using the unbeatable range of Kikkoman sauces (hyperlink).
From Puri Pangan Utama, Ibu Asih shared extensive product knowledge regarding Blessing Fish products. Some of the topics covered include the processes involved to create Indonesia’s favorite smoked fish, how to properly store Blessing Fish products and how to create captivating dishes using Blessing Fish products.
The event received favorable feedback especially from the Head of the School, who acknowledged the importance of knowing the ingredients and food suppliers so that students will know where to go when they want to look for quality ingredients in Bali.
The opportunity to share this knowledge with Bali’s rising culinary stars definitely brought us great joy. We trust that they will undoubtedly elevate the island’s culinary experience to the next level in the future.
