Bourbon Peach Glazed Salmon for Valentine’s Day
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces/ 1.5 kg salmon fillets
- Salt and pepper to taste
Bourbon Peach Glaze:
- 55 gr peach jam
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp bourbon
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp chipotle powder
Use a good-quality peach jam to make the peach glaze. If you have fresh or frozen peaches, cook these with honey and purée them for the glaze.
Cooking The Salmon:
- The first step is to thaw your frozen salmon, and then cut it into even pieces.
- Then, preheat your oven to 65 °C while you season the salmon with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place the salmon on a sheet pan.
- Whisk the peach jam, honey, bourbon, garlic, and chipotle powders until smooth. Brush it on both sides of the fish.
- Place the salmon in the oven for 10 minutes. Keep an eye on the salmon so that the glaze won’t burn.
- Remove the salmon from the oven, and serve with sautéed whole green beans for an elegant touch, asparagus, or even roasted broccoli. Enjoy!
